Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Money Ping on staffreader.com (the “service”). Free webhooks, alert mail, waitlists, and paid subscriptions are all covered. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What this is — and is not

Money Ping is an informational alert pipe. It may receive Stripe webhook events you point at it and may email a short summary to the inbox you signed up with. It is not a Stripe product, a payment processor, an accountant, a collections agency, or a guarantee that you will see every failed invoice, cancellation, or dispute in time to act. It does not replace your Stripe Dashboard, books, or your own review of events.

Your risk

You use the service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your Stripe account, webhook endpoint, signing secret, and what you do with alert mail. Alerts can be late, wrong, throttled, undelivered, duplicated, or missing (Stripe, network, mail, or our systems). A quiet inbox is not a promise that nothing happened.

No warranty

The service is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, throttle, or stop features without notice. Email is best-effort. Signing secrets are shown once and are never resent.

Release

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable United States law, you release, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify the operator of this site and its contractors and affiliates from any claim, loss, cost, liability, or damage (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of this site, anything generated for you here (including alert mail and webhook URLs), missed or wrong money events, your Stripe account, your subscription, or a leaked or lost signing secret.

Limitation of liability

The operator of this site is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, lost customers, failed invoices, disputes, or churn, even if advised of the possibility. If some liability cannot be excluded, total liability for this product is limited to the fees you paid for Money Ping in the three months before the claim, or twelve US dollars, whichever is greater.

Cookies

This site uses a session cookie so this browser can remember your plan and that you agreed to these Terms. It does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The extra cookie-consent rules that cover those kinds of cookies do not apply here. You may still record that you are fine with the session cookie; that record is optional.

Paid plans

A paid plan only raises alert limits and destinations. It does not add a warranty, SLA, or duty to catch every Stripe event. Subscribing requires that you check the box confirming these terms. Checking that box is your electronic signature that you understand and agree.

Acceptance

Using the service (signing up, pointing a Stripe webhook here, reading mail from us, or subscribing) is acceptance of these terms. United States law governs, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If a court strikes one part, the rest still applies.
